vicino all'antica Piazza delle Erbe (ora chiamata Piazza Trento e Trieste), a un minuto a piedi dal Castello Estense. Nella parte centrale della facciata si erge il portico; i leoni lo sostengono e in cima una loggia a baldacchino con una statua della Madonna col Bambino.<\/p><p>Sul lato sud del Duomo, lungo la Piazza Trento e Trieste, si trovano decorazioni in due gallerie con colonne scolpite con soggetti diversi.<\/p><p>Sullo stesso lato c'era un tempo un secondo grande cancello, demolito in restauri del XVIII secolo. Guardava verso Via San Romano, in direzione di Bologna.
